A recently posted video by Reddit user u/xeavalt shows footage of the owner of a Nissan attacking a Tesla Model 3 while driving and hitting a car. The dashcam footage shows that the white Nissan is approaching the Model 3 at high speed from the rear. Then it begins to overtake the Tesla, but as soon as its front part reaches the middle of the Model 3, it sharply turns the steering wheel towards the electric car, striking a blow.
It is scary that people are capable of such behavior, exposing life and health to such danger. Fortunately, thanks to the vehicle's design and weight, and excellent active driver assistance systems, the Model 3 held the lane and saved its passengers from an accident. Meanwhile, in contrast, the Nissan was severely thrown, causing it to crash into a fence on the left side of the road, to then spin 360 degrees from the impact, and finally cross four lanes and crash into a fence on the right side of the road.
Safety of Model 3, like all cars of the company, is a matter of pride, and is the most prioritized part of the overall Model 3 design. The metal structure is a combination of aluminum and steel, for maximum strength in every area. The location of the battery also gives Model 3 and other Tesla vehicles a low center of gravity, which improves handling and reduces the likelihood of rollover, in even the most dangerous accidents.
